The Apple App store is the most well known and the most popular app store in the world, and it was of course also the very first to become well known. Now, with the release of the iPhone 4S device a few months ago, it has been found that there has been a huge increase in the number of app downloads from the app store as more and more people get their hands on iOS devices.

According to the research that was carried out by a marketing technology company named Fiksu, the iPhone 4S had a massive impact on the amount of app downloads from the iTunes app store as they found that there had actually been an increase of around 15 percent in November. The Apple app store is said to have peaked at a staggering 5.65 million downloads per day in November which is 15 percent higher than the peak in October of 4.91 million. This is also the first time that the app downloads in a day has topped the 5 million mark and it was a huge milestone for Apple.

Fiksu did also find that the average price of every download had decreased by a few cents however with the average coming in at around $1.43 in the United States. It was previously $1.47 in October. Apple’s app store seems to be remaining strong despite competition from competitors like the Android marketplace and many others.
